Bookkeeper

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepares tax returns for clients including Sales tax returns (state & city/parish) and Payroll tax returns, quarterly and
annually (federal & state).
• Prepares and distributes W-2’s and 1099’s for clients.
• Reconciles client bank accounts.
• Reconciles client balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation.
• Responds to client questions regarding general bookkeeping issues, payroll withholdings, tax deposits and coding
disbursements (chart of accounts).
• Upon client request, serves in the capacity of the client’s bookkeeper (onsite) when an absence occurs.
• Prepares various other tax reports such as property taxes, occupational licenses and, workers’ compensation reports.
• Proactively communicates any issues/concerns relating to work product.
• Develops proficiency for Firm software applications and procedures.
• Complies with the professional and Firm requirements (e.g., employee handbook requirements, time entry
procedures, audit quality control document requirements, etc.) including complying with confidentiality.
